Current Conducting Electrode Arms of Electric Arc of Melting and Ladle Furnaces
Current conducting electrode arms are designed for replacement of conventional arc furnaces electrode arms.
The main advantages of such electrode arms are as follows:
| ·
| less magnitudes of furnace heavy current line resistance and reactance, providing increase in the arc power and output of the furnace and decrease in the electric energy consumption. |
| ·
| less mass, providing better response of shifting electrodes; |
| ·
| effective water cooling and increase in service life of electrode holder electric insulation; |
The scope of such advantages provides the short pay-back time of current conducting arms installation equal to 0.5-1.0 year.
